OCLC Number: 832079417 Language Note: English Notes: text/html Abstract: Eight candidate tentage fabrics were evaluated for blackout (opacity to light transmission at night) in the laboratory and in the field with both incandescent and fluorescent lighting. A good correlation was obtained. Of the candidates examined, only the Hypalon-coated fabrics showed satisfactory blackout properties for visible and nonvisible wavelengths. The standard cotton duck (MIL-C-43627) was satisfactory only for visible radiation.
